The Board of Trustees of the Medfield Public Library is seeking an energetic, creative and forward thinking candidate for the position of library director. Medfield, a bucolic suburb of Boston, is situated along the Charles River and boasts a vibrant, engaged community, excellent schools and a well supported, vital public library. The ideal candidate will understand and support the library’s vision to be a community meeting house for learning, growth and more.
This candidate will have a willingness to partner with other community organizations; provide support and educational opportunities to the staff ; initiate services and programs to meet the ever changing needs of the community; be flexible in their duties; work effectively with trustees, the Friends group and town hall and assist in the long range planning process. The director must also be proficient in all aspects of library administration, including but not limited to: budgeting, personnel management,, physical plant maintenance , reporting, and grant writing,

This a 37.5 hour per week full-time position.
Salary: $77,266.00 to $96,582.00 plus a complete benefit package.
