Winslow Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, and energetic individual to serve as our Youth Services/Technology Librarian. This person will plan and implement library programs for children, teens, and families and provide technology support and programming for our patrons. They should possess knowledge of public library operations and services, current children’s and young adult literature, programming and collection development, as well as proficiency with current technology tools and devices and with social media.
Candidates should be technologically proficient, able to work and collaborate as a team, have a good sense of humor, and possess exemplary customer service skills. General reference and reader advisory services as well as circulation desk responsibilities will be part of the job.
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that includes Saturdays and some evening hours.
Experience in a library setting, a Bachelor’s degree and experience working with children is required. A Master’s Degree in Library Science or current enrollment in an MLS program is desirable, or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
