Join staff of the ACLU of Massachusetts and the Library Freedom Project for a practical training on issues surrounding digital privacy.
- In the morning session, we’ll review some of the major government surveillance programs and authorizations, talk about the corporate model of data mining and collection, and discuss how each of these affect our communities. The ACLU will cover a “Know Your Rights” training focused on federal and local privacy law.
- We’ll finish the morning session with a demonstration of technology tools that can help take back our privacy from all kinds of spies.
- In the afternoon, we’ll break into smaller groups to review each of the morning session in greater detail, with time for questions and feedback.
