Welcome to NELA!
NELA provides a multitude of services and opportunities to librarians from every type of library throughout the six New England states. Membership in NELA provides educational and professional development, scholarship opportunities, leadership training, mentoring and participation in a variety of specialized committees and sections, reduced registration fees to the annual conference, access to an online listserv of NELA members that is devoted to library issues and information related to libraries on local, regional, state and national levels. Individually, NELA provides you with networking opportunities to interact with librarians from outside of your local area; expanding your horizons. I welcome you to this organization no matter what role you have in your library. Our members are friendly and knowledgeable about “all things librarian” and we are here to assist you on your library-related journey. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you throughout the year!
